So who am I? And why should you trust my ramblings on insurance? I’m a common person who has bought insurance, read about insurance, and who has made mistakes before. I offer thoughts about insurance, whether it be home owners insurance, life insurance, health insurance, dental insurance, and even long term care insurance.
I used to think that insurance is for suckers. Sometimes I still get an inkling of that. But in reality, smart insurance purchases can be just as effective as smart investments. Given the uncertainty of the economy from year to year, it makes sense to put some stability in our lives.
You don’t need to agree with everything I write, and I encourage you to question it. What I need to you do is to read, react, and do further research. Don’t however just talk to an insurance agent and assume that he (or she) has no underlying motive. They do… they make a living from selling (and that is good). But you should question any insurance information you are given.
